As a wee lad I always had a weird interest in communications devices. It started when my brother had two cocoa tins connected with a piece of string, I soon progressed to a hosepipe with a funnel at each end! I always wanted a pair of walkie talkies.....
I gained a healthy interest in broadcast radio, from the offshore stations of the 1960's. When I was old enough, I eventually got in to denim, long hair, large capacity motorcycles - not to mention 'proper music', and never looked back - well, only when I overtake slower vehicles you understand.
I enjoy helping chickens across the road and biting the heads off old ladies, oops, sorry, wrong way round! No really, I do good stuff like rescuing animals, I recycle stuff, I'm into green issues like solar power and I use rechargeable batteries instead of the chuck away type.
I also have a passion for getting rock music & culture on the radio, and have been doing just that since the 1960's!
I've been a Mobile DJ since 1974 but never a radio presenter, until now! It's a real rush being on air. Over the years, I've
worked in Media, TV & Film. I enjoy challenges & problems. Bear calls me "save the day"! I'm just practical, that's all.
I do a lot of work for "charidy mate"....driving old ladies about (or mad!) & at a local mental health charity with events,
music & stuff Into Bikes, Trikes, Cars.... anything with a big engine! & was always listening to Pirate radio in 60s &
70s + Luxembourg, Lazer 558 etc. on a huge old russian Regonda valve radiogram! It even had automatic tuning!
